Meze audio
For 10 years, Meze Audio has been creating audiophile headphones and earphones known for their timeless design, pure comfort, and thrilling, vibrant sound. From looks to technology, Meze Audio products are designed to surpass any short-lived trends and serve not just as headphones, but as heirlooms. Today, founder Antonio Meze and his experienced team design and develop their products in Baia Mare, Romania, in the spirit of their original “uncompromising” vision.
Rinaro isodynamics
Rinaro was created in the USSR (in what is now Ukraine) during the Cold War as part of a government-funded acoustic technology research program. With government support and access to advanced test facilities, the team was able to focus entirely on planar magnetics. This is an area where the team has continued to innovate over the past 30 years since the collapse of the USSR. Over the past decade, Rinaro has expanded its capabilities and capacity by developing state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facilities in Ukraine and Poland. The new facilities were a driving force in the development of the revolutionary Isodynamic Hybrid Array technology found in the Meze Audio EMPYREAN, ELITE and LIRIC headphones.
Award-winning technology in a portable frame
LIRIC has the cutting-edge technology developed by Rinaro and revised for everyday use. The MZ4 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver has been scaled down and tuned to deliver a sound experience equal to its larger Empyrean and Elite counterparts.
Combined with the closed design, it helps preserve the original clarity and emotion of your favorite music through enhanced sound and minimized external noise. Each driver is fully assembled and tested by hand at Rinaro’s industrial facility in Ukraine.
cabinet
Reinforced polymer cabinet designed to withstand the high 10.7 N load generated by the hybrid magnet array.
Isoplanar membrane
With a weight of only 0.08 g and a large active area of 3507 mm2.
Neodymium magnets
Our neodymium magnets are arranged symmetrically on both sides of the diaphragm in a hybrid array to create an isodynamic magnetic field of 0.3 Tesla, which is required for uniform activation over the entire diaphragm surface.
Innovative and sonorous
LIRIC is the first closed-back headphone to feature Rinaro’s Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver. The MZ4 driver was designed exclusively for Meze Audio and features the same dual shaped voice coil configuration as the Meze Empyrean. More than 30 years of research and development have gone into this technology, resulting in one of the easiestand most advanced planar magnetic drivers on the market.
A new innovation of the MZ4 driver, developed by Rinaro itself, is the Phase-X™ system, which improves surround sound and spatial sound imaging, often a problem with closed headphones.
