The EXOFIELD Theater headphone system developed by JVC creates a multi-channel sound image that appears outside the head (“out-of-head”) as if in a room. This allows you to experience the full effect of multi-channel effects via headphones.
Realistic multichannel sound field (7.1.4)
In addition to 2-channel stereo, the XP-EXT1 system reproduces 7.1.4-channel multichannel sound. You can enjoy audio formats like Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® used in the latest video software. For a realistic sound field comparable to listening to a multi-channel speaker system.

In addition to multi-channel playback of Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® material, the EXOFIELD Theater System also supports up-mixing of stereo or 5.1 signal sources for a fascinating all-round sound experience over headphones.
Calibration of the personal hearing characteristics
Before the Exofield Theater System is ready for use, the physiognomy of the respective user’s ears is recorded once using the microphones integrated in the headphones and a smartphone app (iOS/Android). The measurement result is compared with a central database, the optimum algorithm is selected from the data records stored here and transferred to the processor.
Furthermore, sound settings can also be made via the equalizer function of the app on the smartphone.

Powerful sound and high wearing comfort
The comfortable, large-diameter earcups feature powerful 40mm neodymium driver units for dynamic sound and an extremely realistic soundstage.
Comfortable ear cushions provide excellent shielding and ensure a high level of wearing comfort even during long periods of use.
Digital sound processor
The EXOFIELD Theater System XP-EXT1 consists of a comfortable on-ear headphone and the digital processing unit, which are wirelessly connected via a 5GHz network. The three HDMI inputs of the processor unit can be connected to different players such as Blu-ray players, satellite receivers or streaming boxes. TV or projector are connected to the HDMI output. Three preset sound modes (CINEMA/MUSIC/GAME) or the individually adjustable “CUSTOM” setting can be selected for optimal adaptation to personal listening tastes.
