Thanks to its modular design (NAD MDC technology), the C 388 can be upgraded to the latest state of the art at any time in the future, or additional functions can be added individually. The powerful DD-BluOS module, for example, adds a top-class streaming function to the C 388. BluOS allows direct access to music archives on the local network, Internet radio and millions of music tracks from online music streaming services such as TIDAL, Spotify or Deezer. Full compatibility with all Bluesound components makes it easy to create a true multi-room system throughout your home – with superior sound quality at up to 24Bit/192kHz. All navigation is done via the free BluOS app for iOS and Android compatible devices, which can also be used to control all of the amplifier’s functions.

The continuous power of 2 x 150 watts at 8 and 4 ohms guarantees an authentic music experience in your own four walls. The very high load stability, together with the high damping factor and the power reserves of the newly developed high-performance power supply, ensures absolute control over the loudspeakers. For realistic reproduction of short-term dynamic peaks, the power supply mobilizes over 1000 watts. It works so efficiently that the amplifier hardly generates any waste heat even at high levels. The newly developed solid state volume control responds with high precision to any command from the included remote control, regardless of the current volume level.

On the connection side, the C 388 leaves nothing to be desired. Analog inputs, a phono input (MM) and two coaxial and two optical digital inputs are available. It does not matter whether incoming signals are of analog or digital origin, because the C 388 converts them into a PWM signal that guarantees high-precision control of the Hypex® UcD power amplifiers. A Bluetooth® interface is available for convenient and easy music playback from mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. With this, all input signals of the C 388 can also be sent wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth® headphones.

All this makes the C 388 a guarantor for an absolutely rousing musical experience.

All sound-relevant settings can be conveniently made via the large, dimmable display. All inputs can be individually renamed and the preamp outputs can be configured as either preamp or subwoofer outputs.
