The Rega io is designed to deliver exceptional Rega performance at an affordable price. It uses the same amplifier stage as the multiple award-winning Brio, which can now be driven with 30 W per channel at 8 Ω.

The io features two line-level inputs, a high-quality Rega moving-magnet phono stage, and a dedicated, high-quality headphone output. The io fits seamlessly into any home audio system while being simple to use and easy to set up. A must for demonstrations.

Because music is important

The Rega io uses the same power amplifier and phono stage as its bigger brother, the multi-award-winning Brio. The goal of the io is to deliver exceptional sound quality in a smaller and more cost-effective package.

The Class A/B circuit shares its DNA with the rest of Rega’s amplifiers, and as usual great care has been taken in the choice of components. Sanken output transistors and an Alps volume potentiometer as well as a linear power supply allow an output power of 30 watts per channel at 8 Ω.

Two line-level inputs and a high-quality moving-magnet phono input are available as sources. There is a headphone output on the front of the unit for use with standard HiFi headphones; this is controlled by the unit’s power amplifier stage via relays to prevent signal degradation when headphones are plugged in or the unit is muted. A new, revised mini remote control is included.
