Yamaha not only has more than 125 years of tradition in instrument manufacturing, but also an excellent reputation for its hi-fi components. For the development of the A-S301, both the many years of experience and the technical expertise were fully utilized.

Based on the concept of “Natural Sound”, music is reproduced as it really sounds. In addition, the Verstärker was built with the utmost care from the switching paths to the sound generation – even as an entry-level model, it has excellent sound quality as well as a unique musicality.

Continuously adjustable loudness

The Yamaha A-S301 features a new analog loudness control located on the front panel. It uses electronic volume control for the highest sound quality, so the loudness effect can be adjusted as desired. Separate from the normal volume control, the balance between highs and lows can thus be influenced. This makes the full tonal bandwidth available, compensating for the natural hearing loss of high and low frequencies at low volume.

Rotary knob with LEDs for source selection

A rotary knob makes input source selection quick and easy. The high-quality material with hairline finish has an appealing feel. The selected source is displayed with LEDs, so it is easy to switch between the players even in dark rooms.

Connections for two speakerand choice between speaker A, B or A+B

You can connect two separate speakerin different rooms and switch between them or operate both simultaneously. Four ports are available, so you can select the right speakers for the source at the touch of a button.

Reduced noble design

With its reduced noble design, this Vollverstärker is completely in the tradition of legendary Yamaha HiFi components. The aluminum Gehäuseis designed in a noble Hairline finish and also features an intuitive arrangement of the controls. The knobs also feature the same luxurious build as our high-end models.

Subwoofer connection

The subwoofer connection can be used to enhance the system’s low frequency response for a more powerful sound with better quality.

Phono MM connector

A turntable with MM phono module can also be connected. Enjoy vinyl recordings alongside CDs and experience the interplay of the latest digital and analog technology.

Digital audio inputs for TV and/or Blu-ray player

The A-S301 has both an optical and a coaxial digital input. The optical input is for the TV sound, the coaxial one for the Blu-ray player sound. The signal remains digital throughout, ensuring pure, dynamic sound from all sources – from sports and other TV broadcasts to movies and concert recordings.

Auto standby function

The power saving function of the Verstärkerdetects when it has not been used for a long time (about 8 hours) although it is switched on. In this case, the device automatically switches to standby mode – minimizing power consumption if the Verstärker is accidentally left on.
