Toroidal transformer

Normally reserved for high-end hi-fi components, the R-N2000A benefits from the technical performance and absolute musicality of a toroidal transformer. In conjunction with numerous high-end Hi-Fi features and components, the toroidal transformer ensures that the emotional range of the music is passed on to the listener.

In addition, there is a 3 mm thick brass base between the bottom of the transformer and the inner cabinet, which dampens the vibrations of the transformer and provides an overwhelmingly spatial and realistic sound.

Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO™)

Environmental factors play an important role in the acoustic signature of a room and for any type of audio. Yamaha’s proprietary YPAO™ automatic calibration, which has been used in many home cinemafor decades, has been optimized for the R-N2000A to create an ideal listening environment, just as if you were in a professional audio listening room – without having to make tedious manual adjustments.

YPAO™ features a precision EQ that performs exceptionally high-precision equalization with up to 192 kHz/64-bit resolution. YPAO R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) works in concert to actively control the important early reflection sounds. This automatically adjusts and optimizes how the sound is heard in your room, depending on the materials of the walls and the placement of the speaker. This means you can enjoy the full sound and unparalleled emotionality of hi-fi audio – right in your living room.

High performance DAC

For clear, transparent reproduction of the sound image and detailed musicality, the state-of-the-art ES9026PRO digital-to-analog converter from ESS Technologies is used.

This high-quality DAC achieves high-precision signal conversion via the balanced analog audio output and further enhanced current output for four-channel operation, effectively reproducing even the subtle acoustics of concert halls and subtle, expressive nuances in sound.

Low impedance concept

To prevent energy loss and audio signal degradation, the R-N2000A features thick wires for the ground connection – a key feature that identifies the components as true premium hi-fi devices.

Also, the output of the power amplifier is screwed to strengthen the grounding, which is important for audio quality. This creates an open, natural sound stage that brings the artist and the listener closer together.

Mechanical concept for a stable floor

Just like Yamaha’s high-end Hi-Fi model, the R-N2000A works with the mechanical concept for a stable floor. The concept starts with the bolted feet, which are welded directly to the main chassis, and continues with the large heat sink, power transformer and block capacitors, which are also bolted directly to the cabinet.

This design eliminates unwanted vibrations, resulting in powerful, expressive low-frequency response. You can feel the intense groove of the music.

Silver plated brass feet

The solid construction of the integrated ampis completed by the heavy, silver-colored brass feet, which amplify the powerful, fundamental low frequency range and fill it with musicality.

Fully balanced power amplifier

Symmetrical construction

To achieve the epitome of stereo reproduction in this component, the R-N2000A has a perfectly balanced, hinged design with the power supply in the center and the power amp blocks at either end of the main unit.
