Marantz HDAM technology
Marantz has developed its own discrete circuits that replace conventional ICs. These HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) consist of discrete components with short mirrored L/R signal paths. While they perform the same function as IC operational amplifiers, they far surpass them with their high slew rate as well as reduced noise rustling, providing a more dynamic, precise and detailed sound. The Marantz CD6007 is equipped with the improved HDAM-SA2 circuitry, which ensures an even more stable power supply. The reactive power stability is less affected by the power transistor temperature to maintain the sound performance even at high output levels.
Reference quality D/A converter
The CD6007 is equipped with the new, high-resolution AK4490 reference-class D/A converter. In addition to two selectable filter options, it offers up to 192 kHz/24-bit resolution and DSD 5.6 MHz for optimal fidelity with tight bass, pleasant mids, and smooth, extended highs when playing CDs and high-resolution formats via the USB input.
High current power supply
The power supply features fast high-current Schottky diodes as well as new and higher quality storage capacitors compared to the previous model. The power supply capacitors have been increased by 120% to improve current stability in demanding listening situations and reduce AC noise.
High slew rate operational amplifier + HDAM-SA2
The headphone amplifier section of the CD6007 has been improved and revised compared to the CD6006. For perfect matching to virtually any brand of headphones and an optimal solo listening experience, the CD6007 is equipped with the exclusive HDAM-SA2 module with impedance control (Low/Mid/High).
