Primare CD35
Overview
The CD35 is an award-winning, modular full-size CD player with exceptional capabilities, a state-of-the-art, low-resonance CD drive, and an advanced digital-to-analog converter stage that can be expanded at any time with full Prisma network technology.
Technology
All components of the CD35 – the drive, the DAC and the output stage – work together in a balanced and harmonious way, contributing to the best CD player Primare has ever offered
At the heart of the CD35 is a state-of-the-art, dedicated TEAC CD drive that delivers a jitter-free digital signal to an all-new DAC stage with a superb-sounding 8-channel ESS Sabre chipset that converts the signal to analog and passes it to a finely tuned output stage.
The modular design allows a Prisma network connection and control technology module, SM35, to be added at any time.
The Scandinavian look and feel
We believe that every aspect of our products – the look, the pleasant feel of the controls – contributes to the overall experience of living with Primare. Therefore, Primare products are characterized by Scandinavian design – simple, elegant design with easy-to-understand functions.
An example of this is the control buttons, which are carefully designed to feel optimal when in use – not too big or too small, not too soft or too stiff, not too close or too far from the surface of the front panel – or as we say lagom, not too much and not too little, all in balance, proportion and harmony.
Modular design and system structure
We believe it is essential to offer modularity whenever possible in order to have just the right features, both now and for the future.
Modular design is found in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers and PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be upgraded with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player, which can be upgraded with the Prisma module either at the time of purchase or at a later date.
This allows a carefully considered range of models and configurations to be offered to enable device selection that best suits the system requirements. For example, a CD35 with Prisma module installed can be coupled with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing separation of analog and digital stages.
Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be combined with a DD35 CD transporter, allowing multi-room and multi-zone playback of all inputs, analog or digital.
