The technology

The PRE35 DAC modular preamplifier is an exceptional system control center. It provides unprecedented low-noise and distortion-free selection and transmission of all analog inputs.

This is the result of a carefully crafted, fully balanced circuit design that benefits from the use of a four-layer motherboard to achieve the shortest possible signal path. In addition to the extensive input and output options with XLR and RCA connectors, the PRE35 DAC features the full-featured DM35 DAC stage, which provides conversion up to PCM 768kHz/32bit and DSD 256.

Thanks to its modular design, the amplifier can be expanded at any time to include the Prisma SM35 network player module, enabling unprecedented system customization.

With the DM35 module installed, the PRE35 Prisma offers the ability to connect high-resolution wireless Speaker to WiSA-enabled high-performance active speakers – a unique feature of this high-performance preamplifier.

Modular design and system construction

Primare believes that it is important to offer modularity whenever possible in order to have just the right features, both now and for the future. Modular design is found in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers and PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be upgraded with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player, which can be upgraded with the Prisma module either at the time of purchase or at a later date.

This allows us to offer a carefully considered range of models and configurations to provide a device selection that best suits the system requirements at hand. For example, a CD35 with Prisma module installed can be coupled with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing separation of analog and digital stages. Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be paired with a DD35 CD transporter, allowing multi-room and multi-zone playback of all inputs, analog or digital.
