Primare PRE35 preamplifier – The technology

The modular PRE35 is an exceptional system control center, providing unprecedented low-noise and distortion-free selection and transmission of all analog inputs. This is the result of a careful circuit design that benefits from the use of a four-layer motherboard to achieve the shortest possible signal path.

In addition to the extensive input and output options, which include both XLR and RCA connectors, the PRE35’s modular design also allows the amplifier to be expanded with an advanced digital-to-analog converter module, DM35, and a Prisma network player module, SM35, for unprecedented system customization.

Primare PRE35 – Modular design and system construction

Primare believes that it is important to offer modularity whenever possible in order to have just the right features, both now and for the future. Modular design is found in the I25 and I35 modular integrated amplifiers and PRE35 modular preamplifier, all of which can be upgraded with DAC and Prisma modules, as well as the CD35 CD player, which can be upgraded with the Prisma module either at the time of purchase or at a later date.

This allows us to offer a carefully considered range of models and configurations to provide a device selection that best suits the system requirements at hand. For example, a CD35 with Prisma module installed can be coupled with an I35 integrated amplifier, allowing separation of analog and digital stages. Or an I35 with DAC and Prisma modules installed can be combined with a DD35 CD transporter, allowing multi-room and multi-zone playback of all inputs, analog or digital.
