The AURALIC ARIES MINI
Wireless quad-rate DSD streaming node with integrated DAC (chipset: ESS SABRE ES9018K2M) can process PCM audio files of AAC, MP3, APE, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, AIFF, WAV, ALAC and FLAC formats up to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD files up to DSD256 (DSF and DIFF). An external converter can be connected via USB, S/PDIF optical and S/PDIF coaxial (resolution up to 24 bit/192 kHz). The analog music signal is output via RCA jacks.
The integration into a network …
…takes place either via a Gigabit Ethernet port or wirelessly via the integrated Wifi module ((IEEE 802.11ac, dual band). As a DLNA certified UPnP streaming client, data from a central NAS can be processed. Alternatively, any PC or Mac can be used as a data source via data sharing using SAMBA and the iTunes library can be integrated in just a few steps. The audio data of the storage media connected there (USB sticks, USB hard disks) can be read out via the USB port.
A conventional 2.5-inch hard drive as well as an SSD can optionally be installed in the integrated drive bay on the bottom of the AURALIC ARIES MINI, so that a completely self-sufficient mode of operation is possible. Apple AirPlay and Songcast are supported, and Internet radio stations can be accessed via vTuner. A direct connection to TIDAL, WiMP and quobuz is already integrated.
The AURALIC ARIES MINI is controlled via the AURALIC Lightning DS app for iPad from 2nd gen. iPod Touch from 5th gen, IPhone from iPhone 5.
