Made for demanding systems
With the enormous range of speaker systems on the market, it’s more important than ever that an amplifier delivers the optimal performance for any configuration. In addition to the power provided, the absorption of the energy returned by the loudspeaker is also an important aspect. The MM8077 is designed to be as insensitive as possible to the connected loudspeaker to ensure optimum audio performance at all times.
Power supply with toroidal transformer
The power supply is the heart of any amplifier because it provides all the energy that ultimately powers the speakers. Only high-quality and generously dimensioned components are used for the MM8077. The main source of energy is the transformer. Instead of the standard EI core transformer, a toroidal transformer is used, which offers decisive advantages in terms of clean performance and vibration reduction.
Unique current feedback technology
The MM8077 convinces with our unique discrete power amplifiers with current feedback on all channels. It also features multiple discrete high-current, high slew rate, wide bandwidth transistors to ensure maximum detail in today’s high resolution formats.
The power transistors are mounted on our unique dual, tunnel-shaped extruded aluminum heat sink device that provides active and passive cooling. The fins of the solid heat sinks provide a large passive cooling surface. At its end is a whisper-quiet fan that automatically turns on when needed to actively cool the device almost silently. Since the fan is mounted directly on the heat sinks inside and not on the outside of the housing cover in most amplifiers, it is extremely quiet even during operation.
