    Rega PLANAR 2

    Overview

    The Planar 2 was developed over two years along with the current Planar 3. It features the RB220 tonearm, a new low-noise 24 V motor, a high-gloss laminated acrylic base, a newly designed central bearing, and much more. Every feature of this innovative new turntablehas been designed to extract maximum information and detail from your vinyl collection.

    Central bearing housing

    11 mm thick self-locking brass bearing (patent pending), which provides a better fit and less stress on the bearing and prevents the transfer of potential energy.

    Improved optics

    High gloss laminated acrylic base, stiffer and much improved appearance with ergonomically positioned power switch.

    Drive

    New low-noise and low-vibration 24 V motor and new printed circuit board.

    Plate

    New float glass ‘Optiwhite’ 10 mm – Improved precision of the platter.
