Ceramic tungsten technology

The diaphragms of the K series are manufactured in a complex process. In this process, 20% of the molecular structure of an aluminum cone is converted into a ceramic structure and refined with tungsten particles.

The result is a membrane with an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio and improved internal damping.

Connection terminal

The high-quality connector panel with four gold-plated full metal screw terminals is suitable for cable cross-sections up to 10 mm2 and special cable lugs.

It thus enables a secure, long-term stable connection.

Crossover

In the crossovers of the Reference 1 K and 3 K, the low, mid and high frequencies are discretely separated from each other. Only selected components without any tolerance make it onto the low-resonance mounted circuit boards of the Speaker. This is not just about splitting a sound signal, this is about sound shaping measures.

Bass Guide

The Reference K family of floorstanding loudspeakers uses the new Bass-Guide® bass reflex system. Vibrations are guided out of the cabinet and flow noise is reduced.

While the external dimensions remain the same, the usable internal volume of the Speaker increases. The choice of the installation site becomes more flexible. The distance from the wall or the positioning in a corner have almost no influence anymore.

High-end indoor cabling

The cable paths inside the cabinet are reduced to a minimum. The cables themselves were developed specifically for the Reference K speaker. The design with special core and six twisted individual conductors per phase ensures optimum sound transmission from the connection terminal to the chassis.

Surfaces

The elegant, high-gloss “Piano Finish” surface sealant is applied, sanded and elaborately polished in 12 work steps. It gives the Reference K Series cabinetan overwhelming sense of depth.

Acoustically optimized two-piece fabric covers with magnetic fastening round off the noble appearance with confidence.
