The brand new speakerTownus: created for the urban lifestyle – from the heart of the Taunus.Full of pride, here is the “Townus”, with which CANTON wants to appeal to all people who care about timeless design and high-quality appeal. In reference to the roots and the location of their company headquarters, in the middle of the Taunus region of Hesse, the same sounding name Townus was created for the new speaker.

The newly created Townus series captivates with its timeless, elegant design and high-quality materials – ideal for urban people who value design and quality. In the word creation Townus, it is also referred to the connection of the modern and vibrant life in a city (English Town) and the rather quiet and rural Taunus, where the creators of this timeless and modern speakerhave their origin.

Flat built – Full sound

Thanks to the noble surfaces of the shapely, harmoniously proportioned cabinet, the Townus 10 convince with timeless elegance. Rounded cabinet and the screwless integration of the drivers into the slim baffle make the Townus 10 an eye-catcher in any living environment.

The rounded case edges not only give the Townus 10 an elegant look – they also improve the sound dispersion of the speaker. The Townus 10 2-way wall-mounted loudspeakers are particularly unobtrusive to integrate into living spaces due to their shallow depth, as they can be hung on walls to save space.

Flawless surfaces in silk matt or high-gloss lacquers as well as noble real wood veneers with a perfect finish underline the premium claim of the new Townus Speaker. Other visual highlights include the high-quality aluminum rings of the Speaker, which are manufactured using the Seamless Diamond Cut process, and the fabric panels, which are rounded at the corners and adhere magnetically to the baffles.

Highest quality sound

The OnWall speakers Townus 10 are characterized by their flat-built Gehäuse in a timeless, elegant design and the balanced Canton sound. Their homogeneity and balance in sound make the compact Townus 10 a universal speaker for music of all kinds.

In addition, high-quality technical components in the closed cases ensure an enormously high reliability: the 154 mm bass-midrange driver with titanium diaphragm and wave-beading technology in combination with the 25 mm tweeter dome made of aluminum oxide ceramic make the good sound.

Last but not least, the precisely calculated waveguide of the tweeter optimizes the sound radiation and coupling of the 2-way loudspeaker, which performs confidently up to 40,000 Hertz. Thanks to the integrated wall brackets, the Townus 10 can be easily mounted on a wall and is ready for use in no time.

A strong team

You can expand the flat Townus 10 OnWall speakers with other models from the Townus series to create a powerful-sounding multi-channel home theater system. Canton’s flagship Townus 90 speakers serve as the main speakers, which you can combine with the ideally matched Townus 50 center and Townus 10 2-way wall speakers as surround speakers.

For low end and pressure in the bass, as well as an increase in overall dynamics, the Townus Sub 12 subwoofer is added. Here, the high power amplifier output and 300 mm titanium subwoofer chassis provide impressive performance for movies and music.

Ideally harmonized with the Townus speaker models is the smart electronic Smart Amp 5.1, with which you can take off into the wireless world of music streaming. The Canton Smart Amp 5.1 effortlessly replaces a classic AV receiver and offers an incomparable variety of combinations and connections – with the best sound and minimal dimensions.
