WHARFEDALE Linton 85 pair
In the long history of Wharfedale, the LINTON are among the most famous models that embody the research of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s of Wharfedale. Quality and value for money are among Wharfedale’s principles. The older models were already known for a rather warm and natural sound character, which remains the same for the current model.
However, time has by no means stood still: for all its reference to history, the Linton 85 is a modern speaker. The Whafedale convinces with an open and detailed sound image and an astonishingly good bass (for this price range).
The pleasingly high efficiency (90dB!) makes the Linton an affable partner for very many good amplifiers. As a rule, one combines this one thousand euro speaker with amplifiers of comparable price range: a Rega Brio or a Croft Intregrated fit excellently to the Linton 85. The Linton 85 performs quite amazingly together with a Class A amplifier (outstandingly good: the Sugden A21aI) or a also optically very harmonious Mastersound Dueundici.
