Cambridge Audio Alva TT V2
Now all you need is a record
You’ve spent years putting together the perfect record collection, scouring record stores and the Internet for hidden treasures – because you love music. And we share this passion with you.
Canbridge Audio did not stop at the Alva TT and developed the Alva TT V2: with a direct drive system, a custom MC cartridge, a completely new tonearm and high-resolution Bluetooth with integrated phono stage – you can now flexibly switch between the two.
We firmly believe that your records deserve to sound as fantastic as they look.
King of comfort
The Alva TT V2 is designed for people who want to listen to records in exceptional quality – without having to select or install additional components. The TT V2 inspires with a specially developed MC pickup, which is already pre-installed at the factory. Thanks to a switchable integrated phono stage, it can be connected to just about any audio system – even wirelessly with high-quality Bluetooth speaker systems.
High resolution Bluetooth turntables
The integrated Bluetooth aptX HD frees the Alva from the rest of your HiFi system and allows you to showcase your Alva system on any flat surface – because your records deserve to be the center of attention. Music can be streamed at up to 24-bit/48 kHz high-resolution quality to any compatible Bluetooth system, including headphones. Alternatively, you can disable it and simply use a phono cable – the choice is yours.
Integrated phono preamplifier
The Alva TT V2 features an integrated phono preamplifier, modeled after Cambridge Audio’s award-winning Alva Duo, that brings out incredible detail from your records. This allows you to connect the TT V2 to any amplifier or compatible speaker system. The system’s phono preamp can also be disabled – ideal if your amplifier already has one of its own, or if you want to keep the option of upgrading open.
Factory pre-installed MC cartridge
The Alva TT V2’s custom MC cartridge is pre-installed at the factory – so you don’t have to worry about complicated setups, and what’s more, its sound is perfectly matched to the turntable’s other components. Cambridge Audio has developed the high-performance moving coil (MC) cartridge with an exposed needle carrier. It reduces unwanted resonance and vibration, provides high gain and excellent musical detail during playback.
Like its predecessor, the TT, the Alva TT V2 is equipped with a direct drive with medium torque. The 8-pole, 3-phase, brushless DC motor is quartz-controlled and provides precise rotation speed. Thanks to precise control and silent playback, the Alva TT V2 achieves synchronization fluctuations of only 0.06%. This means excellent pitch stability – especially for longer, sustained tones.
Reassuringly solid turntable
The platter of the Alva TT V2 resembles a finely polished stone, perfectly complementing the direct drive motor. It was made of polyoxymethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high strength and excellent dimensional stability. The weight of the platter together with Cambridge Audio’s direct drive motor in the mid-torque range guarantees outstanding speed stability during playback.
Brand new tone arm
After hours of testing, engineers selected a new high-mass, low-resonance tonearm for the Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By minimizing resonant frequencies and in combination with the pickup, it brings out the maximum detail from your records. A removable die-cast aluminum pickup head makes it easy to replace the pickup, which can then be adjusted even more precisely thanks to a new anti-skating knob.
Design for life
You have a record collection for life, so why not a turntable? Cambridge Audio has designed the Alva TT V2 to last a lifetime, starting with a top plate made of 6 mm thick aluminum sheet and an EVA layer for vibration damping on MDF panels. It is housed in a composite chassis and weighs an impressive 10.9 kg. A solid construction with excellent acoustic features.
Timeless style straight from London
With a metallic gray aluminum top and matte black base that blends into Cambridge Audio’s trademark floating wedge base, the Alva TT V2 celebrates their timeless style. It pairs perfectly with Cambridge Audio’s best-selling CX Series Hi-Fi equipment and has also been laser-etched with the Premium Edge Series brand logo.
Dust does not sleep
Thanks to the hinged dust cover, the finely balanced tonearm and aluminum platter of your new Alva turntable will remain pristine even after playing your favorite records. It is easy to raise, lower, remove and reattach – the choice is yours.
