Overview

The ribbon tweeter LDR 2642 MKII is characterized by a particularly clear and extremely detailed sound, a previously unknown vitality even at low levels and a very impulsive and clearly reproduced high frequency range. The extremely lightweight 26 x 42 mm diaphragm, made of a wafer-thin aluminum foil, is about 30 times smaller than the easiest commercially available dome tweeters.

Two flat coils attached to the diaphragm, a NeoPIEGA compact AP 1.2 dym magnet, and magnetic rods integrated into the front panel that function like magnetic lenses act as the drive. They focus the magnetic field lines, which allows the tweeter to achieve an efficiency of more than 100 dB.
