What is the Dynavector 10X5 Neo MK2?
First released in 1978 and awarded the prestigious Chicago CES Design and Engineering Award in both 1978 and 1981. The new Dynavector 10X5 MKII MC cartridge sets new standards in high-output MC cartridge performance without the need for a step-up device or MC phono preamplifier.
The further development of the 10X5 Neo MK2
Along with several exclusive Dynavector technologies such as Magnetic Flux Damping, Softened Magnetism (patent) and powerful neodymium magnets that provide the smooth treble response Dynavector is known for.
The Dynavector 10X5 MKII…
…also features an improved needle arrangement with the “Shibata III” bare diamond needle and an improved hardened cantilever material. These enhancements provide reliable tracking in even the most difficult record grooves, while achieving extended high-frequency response and improved musical resolution.

…Coil winding technology with the finest wire has allowed the Dynavector 10X5 MKII to minimally increase coil windings and achieve a reduction in impedance to 150 ohms while maintaining a healthy 2.8 mV output.
Mounting of the cartridge to the tonearm is achieved by a sturdy red aluminum head block, which provides a stable platform for the cartridge as well as easy and secure mounting to the tonearm.
