Hana S series – insider tip among MC systems
If you are a dedicated record enthusiast and read the equipment list of the Hana cartridges, you will think you are in much higher price ranges. But it’s not just the sum of the microscopic individual parts that makes these MC systems so unique. Rather, such masterpieces are created only by an expert hand. Hana meticulously handcrafts its pickups in Tokyo, which the Japanese manufacturer crowns with its S Series. Of course, Hana also relies on the proven moving coil principle for the SL and SH models. The realistic sound image with irrepressible dynamics enables the S series coil cross, which follows even the smallest groove deflection thanks to its low mass. Among other things, the installed diamond with Shibata design is responsible for the high resolution, which also guarantees outstanding scanning reliability and this extraordinary smoothness due to its noble cut. Thanks to two available output voltages, the S-Series is intended for either classic MC preamplifiers or MM inputs.
The low output variant Hana SL finds the ideal connection with 0.5 mV output voltage at the MC-PrePre. The Hana SH shows its fascination with 2.0 mV output voltage even at the classic MM phono input. In addition, both are also available as mono variants (Hana SL Mono and Hana SH Mono).
