Audiophile all along the line

Of course, Lehmann Audio has selected the components of the Decade MM/MC with the utmost care. The input stages used, for example, ensure astonishingly low-noise reproduction. It is not for nothing that they are also found in absolutely high-quality mixing consoles and microphone preamps from manufacturers of professional studio electronics. The high-precision, passive RIAA equalization network is located between two linear amplification stages and is implemented using low-loss precision MKP capacitors. This allows impulses, dynamics and timbres to reach the music lover absolutely unadulterated.

With your music enjoyment in mind, we’ve also developed the PWX II power supply so you can benefit from even more power. This power supply with inductors at critical points provides the Decade with very low noise DC voltages. It is connected to the audio device via a shielded cable with Neutrik connectors – just like the Silver Cube. Since the PWX II power supply is backward compatible with the PWX power supply, you can also connect the audio parts of the Black Cube series. There is a second output specifically for this purpose.

Flexibility in focus

Of course, the Decade can also be fully customized to your needs with numerous settings. So you can even connect exotic MCs to this superior phono stage without any problems – the maximum gain of 66 dB is fully sufficient for this. So that every MC system, no matter how unusual, can find its suitable termination, there is a free slot for a selector impedance. You also have the option to set the input capacities individually. The discrete Class A output stage with high quiescent current provides an open, fast sound image and can easily drive longer cables.

The switches for gain adjustment and a switchable “soft bass rolloff filter” are conveniently operated via toggle switches on the front panel. The functions themselves are controlled inside the Gehäusevia high-quality relays.
