Denton 85th Anniversary is a two-way speaker in the classic bookshelf tradition, hand-veneered in mahogany by Wharfedale cabinetmakers with a recessed front panel and traditional tungsten cloth grille.

Underneath the traditional exterior, however, Denton’s 85th Anniversary is up to date and uses a mix of traditional and advanced technology. The bass unit features Wharfedale’s innovative woven Kevlar cone mounted on a rigid die-cast chassis. This combination delivers a rich, detailed bass / midrange output with excellent dynamic performance. High frequencies are handled by a woven textile soft dome height unit with high flux ferrite magnet designed for smooth, detailed RF extension.

These drive units are combined through a highly researched crossover that is virtually inaudible to the listener, resulting in a coherent, seamless musical output that is both exciting and natural in its reproduction of source material.
