Let’s just start at the top!

The crown of the ensemble is our all-new Cerotar tweeter – a precision-coated 28mm diameter fabric tweeter. This is one of the most technically sophisticated tweeters from our company.

Our developers have drawn from some of our most famous technologies. There are, for example, the sophisticated airflow systems of the award-winning Esotar Forty tweeter, the Precision Coating of the Contour Series and the Hexis from the new Confidence Series (more on this in a moment). What they created from this is more than the sum of the parts: a holistic design; specifically for the Evoke series.

The heart of the Cerotar is a completely newly developed strontium carbonate ferrite+ ceramic magnet system. He is assisted by the technically sensational Hexis inner dome of the Dynaudio Confidence. This ingenious little component is located directly behind the tweeter dome and prevents unwanted resonances there. The result is a more balanced frequency response. The result is silkier highs, more detailed reproduction and an even more transparent sound image. And that means you can enjoy your music for even longer without getting tired – even into the wee hours of the morning.

The Evoke 30’s two 14 cm diameter Esotec+ woofers are made of MSP (magnesium silicate polymer) – a material we at Dynaudio have long used for our diaphragms. It offers the optimal combination of lightness, stiffness and damping, with which both a powerful and precise bass response and transparent, detailed mids can be heard.

Each speaker cone is created from a single piece of MSP. This gives them just the right amount of stiffness. At the same time, physical distortions are reduced during playback. It also creates an extremely resilient physical connection to the fiberglass voice coil carrier on the back (it’s glued directly under the Balance Ribs you see around the center). This means that even more kinetic energy can be transferred from the voice coil to the diaphragm.

In the other speakers of the Evoke series, the voice coils are made of aluminum, as this material offers the ratio between mass and number of windings desired there for a balanced reproduction of bass and midrange. The 52 mm voice coils of the Evoke 30, on the other hand, are made of copper. For this particular speaker, copper is the more appropriate material because the moving mass is greater without compromising clean midrange response.
