Important notes:
A lot helps a lot. Amplifiers from 150W provide control in the bass. Be sure to use reasonable speaker cables. 4qmm are allowed here.
Monitor Audio Gold 300
Overview
The Gold 300 is the highlight of the entire series. Inside its large and beautifully finished cabinet is a 2½” (64 mm) C-CAM midrange driver with an MPD high-frequency transducer above it. Below the midrange, a pair of 8″ (203 mm) RDT II woofers in a true three-way configuration runs to peak performance.
With two rear-facing HiVe II ports providing even airflow and excellent bass support, the Gold 300 is the ideal speaker for larger rooms and big level enthusiasts The punch and dynamics of the speaker are matched only by its subtlety and fidelity. The Gold 300 is a true authority, playing from a crisp 50 kHz at the top end to a rumbling 30 Hz in the bass. Thus, the Gold 300 is a real all-rounder and perfectly equipped for all listening needs.
Main features
The MPD high-frequency transducer provides a clean and pleasantly smooth high-frequency reproduction up to the highest frequency ranges. Two custom 8″ bass drivers feature the following:
- RDT II cone technology – Specially developed sandwich cone technology of C-CAM, Nomex honeycomb core and woven carbon fiber back for incredible stiffness combined with low weight and high damping.
- Dual HiVe II bass reflex technology results in a perfect transient response and proves tighter bass through optimized airflow
