Good sound starts with power. The CD200 Signature generates all the required voltages with low noise and even has its own ultra-low noise power supply for the converter section In combination with the smooth-running CD drive from the specialist Teac, this produces a great CD sound. In addition, external devices such as computers, streamers or TVs can also benefit from the outstanding quality of the converter via USB optical and digital coax.
With the CD 200 Signature, ATOLL is making a new statement in the range of its own CD players.
The heart of this device is the PCM1792 converter from Burr Brown with a symmetrical/differential current output. The further conversion into voltage signals is carried out by discrete circuit stages with bipolar transistors.
And the processing of the signals for transmission to your preamplifier/integrated amplifier is carried out by a discretely constructed differential Class-A output stage.

But what good is the best circuit technology without a stable power supply?
Two transformers (a 30VA low-noise toroidal core for the analog section and a cast 30VA transformer for the digital section) carry out the first transformation step.
No fewer than 7 linear regulators stabilize these voltages and then supply the individual sections of the device.
This power supply concept forms the basis for crystal-clear, nuanced reproduction, from the black bass to airy heights.
