We owe our success to you! Without your support we would never have come this far. When we started out as students in 1975, we had a completely different idea. We opened a small, improvised shop on Emilstrasse, which quickly became a meeting place for hi-fi enthusiasts. Our opening hours were daily from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and there was no telephone as there was a phone booth opposite.

With long hair and a passion for good music, we had a company policy that automatically made every customer part of our circle of acquaintances. It was a project between friends who were simply looking for a way to finance their studies. Originally it was supposed to be medicine, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, but things turned out differently.

It's been a damn long time, as Niedecken would say, and a lot has happened since then. Nowadays, for example, there are many more types of ice cream than there were back then. And there are big markets in the countryside where you can load hi-fis, TVs, refrigerators, computers and cell phones straight from the shelves into your car and drive home.

The classic radio and television specialist shop was almost completely displaced as a result. But through relocations and renovations, this tiny shop on a small street has become a company that operates stores in the centers of Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Mainz. HIFI-PROFIS is not only one of the last owner-managed specialist shops in the industry - the last of the Mohicans - but has also developed into the largest specialist in the Rhine-Main area.
