The Confidence 20 delivers the same sound quality, passion and performance as the larger models in this series – all in a compact, stand-mounted format.

We have spent years thinking about how we can further improve confidence in the next generation. And after countless hours of work in development, simulations, tests and measurements in our state-of-the-art Jupiter measurement facility, we have achieved our goal.

Like all other models in the series, the Confidence 20 is equipped with the Esotar3 tweeter (28 mm diameter), a new 18 cm diameter NeoTec MSP woofer and an innovative bass port that radiates downwards. We were able to implement the latest findings from various areas in its chassis. For example, the rear chamber of the tweeter's airflow technology was enlarged and the ventilation improved. There is also a completely new element: the resonance-stabilizing Hexis inner dome. The membrane thickness was optimized as part of extensive simulations. Extremely strong neodymium magnets and the new Compex front panel round off the picture.

The new 28 mm diameter Esotar3 soft tweeter represents the know-how of more than 40 years of development work at Dynaudio. Added to this are new insights from the development of the award-winning Esotar Forty tweeter. The result is the best tweeter we have ever created. A powerful neodymium magnet system, innovations in airflow guidance, the new resonance-reducing Hexis inner dome - the sum of all these elements is a loudspeaker that is characterized by detailed, clear and nuanced reproduction.

At the heart of the new 18 cm diameter MSP NeoTec woofer is a neodymium system. Here, fiberglass coil carriers ensure optimal rigidity. The voice coil itself is made of aluminum (which offers just the right combination of lightness, rigidity and damping for tight, powerful yet controlled bass reproduction). The entire drive system of the woofer has been designed to make optimal use of the air flow using an innovative new ventilation system that has been integrated directly into the magnet.
