The Excalibur Platinum is equipped with a naked natural diamond and has a micro ridge cut with a solid boron needle carrier. Smaller and lighter coils and a reinforced magnet have been installed. This ensures even finer high frequency sampling and even more sound enjoyment.

With Excalibur, TAD Audio-Vertrieb has a small but fine family of MC pickups in its range that has an outstanding price/sound ratio. Proven specialists were brought in to implement the project: the well-known product designer and developer Helmut Thiele (including Thorens) as well as a renowned Japanese master and his pickup manufacturer.

In collaboration with Helmut Thiele, who also designs the resonance-optimized housings, the TAD measuring technicians who track down even the finest resonances, and in long listening sessions the best sounding variant is filtered out - until the final design. These scanners no longer have much in common with the original generators: Excalibur is a real TAD product.
